The Fair Arrives July 19-23, 2017
11 MORE WEEKS UNTIL THE LANE COUNTY FAIR
Fair Hours: Wed - Sat: 11 am to 11 pm, Sun: 11 am to 8 pm

Did you know that the Ferris Wheel was invented by George W. Ferris for the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago? Thank you Mr. Ferris!!!

As Exhibits Manager of the 2016 Lane County Fair, I am asking you to get involved with the Lane County Fair.  The Exhibits Departments offer thousands of Divisions and Classes for the adults and youth of Lane County to show us what they are best at.  Exhibitors receive ribbons and small premiums from the Fair, but the best prizes come from our Donors.  Donor awards can be in the form of many things, examples are: cash(a $5.00 check will make a 10 year olds day), gift certificates, admission to events, merchandise, scholarships, class tuition, memberships, supplies, or anything else that is a token to reward them for a job well done.

All donors and sponsors will be advertised throughout Lane County in Fair brochures, department materials, online and at the Fair. Donor forms returned by May 1 will be included in all applicable Fair materials (actual award can come closer to the Fair).  Donor forms received after that date will be included in all applicable Fair materials generated after the date received in addition to promotion within the department.  Contact the Exhibits Manger at exhibits@atthefair.com if you want to maximize your exposure by becoming the overall department sponsor.  Our exhibitors are our employees, military, neighbors and friends.  Lane County has a vast area of talent out there and many are bringing their first projects for the public to view.

There are three ways you can decide to have your donation awarded:

  1. After judging and we have things set up for viewing, you are welcome to choose for yourself which entry you want your donation to go
  2. Have our judges choose a “best of” (example: Best of Quilts or Best of Juniors Baking)
  3. You can use the Department information to determine a Division and class you want it to go to (i.e. Textiles, Division 1500, Class 4, first place)

No matter the size of your award or how your award is determined some talented exhibitor will be that much more encouraged to go forward and do bigger and better projects.
